Medici and Metallica

A few days ago, on the way to visit a friend for coffee I stopped by Medici shoe store on 23rd street between 5th and Broadway. I was already running late (as usual) but I couldn’t help doing a double-take when I saw these gorgeous, biker chick, peep toe, lace-up boots!
Lace up boots $139.00

Normally the biker look isn’t ‘my thing’ but this shoe just made me change my mind. I HAD to get a closer look. My better half said, “Zayna, please keep walking you have no business entering that store.” My lower mind said, go in, have a look around. You’re already late. If you’re gonna fail, fail BIG!"

If I had it my way I’d have marched right into that store and bought the shoes on the spot but being that I had zero time to waste and even less money, I walked in, met the shoe, held it close to my face and promised I'd return at a time when it would be mutually convenient for the both of us.

That was last week. I have yet to return. I’m afraid what our relationship might turn into if I go back. I can’t afford to "become intimate." I just don’t have the money!

Lace up boot $139. 00
I am seriously considering buying these boots. If I do decide to buy them I’d wear it with the following:

Charlotte Ronson Vest $69 American Apparrell Dress $30

Talking about biker chic has anyone seen Charlotte Ronson's clothing line? Its all lace, leather, buckles and zippers with feminine and flirty accents. Its a kind of bitter/sweet surrender to the gender divide! I’m mucho impressed. I LOVE HER LINE! Check out her website at http://www.charlotteronson.com/collections/spring09.php. Frozen hearts need coats too!

I just found out that I’ve been passed up for another girl. That sucks! His facebook status said he was, “currently in a relationship.” Geez, we just made out a few weeks ago...oh what a difference a day makes!
Bruised, tattered and teary eyed (ok, I’m being a bit dramatic), I dragged myself over to Burlington Coat Factory on 23rd and 6th so as to surround myself around things that will never, ‘pass me up for someone better;’ that something meaning clothes. Turns out everything was on super duper sale, as is everything else in America; it wouldn’t surprise me if the government suddenly decided to auction off entire states. Anyway, It looks like I’ve caught the tale end of the inventory because a lot of the items had small snags and tears…not to fret, many items were in pristine condition. And besides, this means there will be a new shipment arriving soon; which reminds me of Mr. Facebook: I am beginning to think of him as old inventory and suddenly I'm expecting to see sexy new inventory arriving very, very, soon!

P.S. Broken heart? Where do you go to soothe your soul?

Here are the goods for today:

Urban Studio silk blend shirt $7.99

Harve' Bernard wool and cotton blend blazers $14.99 each

Calvin Klein kimono jacket $89.99

Ahh, I feel better now...
